According to the team, Gordon received lacerations to his face and hand from a dog attack on December 25.
Further details revealed by Shams Chanaria of The Athletic state that it was Gordon's shooting hand that was injured, being a major setback for the player.
In addition, he had to receive 21 stitches, which would prolong his healing process. As a result, Gordon will be out for an unspecified amount of time.
With the Nuggets, this year, the forward has been averaging 13.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 52.5% field-goal shooting.
