Jaden McDaniels is expected to miss Minnesota's next games due to injury.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels will miss time after an MRI revealed a Grade 1 right ankle sprain, the franchise revealed.
McDaniels’ return-to-play timeline is two to three weeks. He will be reevaluated in one week. McDaniels suffered the sprain Monday night in the Wolves’ 117-100 win over the New York Knicks.
The 23-year-old has averaged 9.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game over 11 games (all starts) in his fourth NBA season since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him 28th overall in 2020. Last season, McDaniels played his best season with the Timberwolves so far, averaging 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 30.6 minutes of playing time, shooting three-pointers at a solid 39.8%.
The Wolves have been one of the NBA’s surprise teams in the early parts of the 2023-24 season. They lead the Western Conference with a 10-3 record entering Tuesday’s games.
