The gesture in question was a "WWE-style crude chop," according to ESPN.

Embiid's reaction, which came towards the end of the third quarter, was due to the dominant game exhibited by both himself and the 76ers against the Trail Blazers.

The 76ers won 126-98, while Embiid had a solid night, accumulating 35 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 blocks.

The fine in question was announced by Joe Dumars, NBA's executive vice president and head of basketball operations.

Embiid and his team will host the Toronto Raptors on the 3rd of October.
