AS Monaco's big man Chima Moneke is set to enter free agency. Per BasketNews sources, the 27-year-old Nigerian-Australian is parting ways with the Monagasque club.

The 1.98 m tall player began the 2022-23 season with the Sacramento Kings but made a mid-season move to Monaco in January and signed until 2024.

During his tenure in the EuroLeague, Moneke averaged 3.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in under 13 minutes of play in 16 games.

Moneke's 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block proved pivotal in turning the momentum and securing a crucial victory in Game 5 of the EuroLeague playoff series against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

In the French league, he averaged 9.7 points (76.2% 2P), 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals in 18 minutes of play.

Moneke was named the MVP of the 2022 Basketball Champions League.

Before joining AS Monaco, Moneke had significant interest from several EuroLeague teams.
