Following a successful season both in the EuroLeague and the French League (LNB), AS Monaco are continuing to lay the groundwork for the upcoming year.
After first announcing the addition of Terry Tarpey last week, the Monegasque club has now added a new player to the roster. According to the club's official announcement, French big man Mouhammadou Jaiteh has joined the organization on a two-year deal.
The news about the possible union between Jaiteh and Monaco was first reported by BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas last month.
The 28-year-old center has represented Virtus Segafredo Bologna for the past two seasons. Just a day before, Jaiteh shared a message, thanking the club for the memories he made during the tenure.
Jaiteh won the EuroCup playing for Virtus back in 2022. On top of that, he was named the league's MVP as well as selected to the All-EuroCup First Team.
In 33 games for the Italian team in the EuroLeague this past season, he averaged 8.4 points and 4.7 rebounds for 9.6 PIR. Jaiteh's two best games were against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade (15 PTS, 9 REB, 27 PIR) and Panathinaikos Athens (20 PTS, 10 REB, 24 PIR).
