According to the club's official announcement, the Spanish club has parted ways with the Hungarian forward.
In 27 games for the team in the EuroLeague this season, Hanga averaged 4.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists for 4.1 PIR. His numbers were similar in the Spanish Liga Endesa (ACB) as well - 5.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for 4.5 PIR.
Before joining Real Madrid, Hanga played for FC Barcelona for four years. He's won the ACB trophy and the EuroLeague title in the two seasons in the Spanish capital. Hanga was elected as the EuroLeague's Best Defender back in 2017 while playing for Barca.
The 34-year-old suffered an injury while playing for Hungary in EuroBasket 2022 and missed the start of the 2022-23 season. Since then, he's been injury-free.
