According to Tomer Givati from Israel Hayom, assistant coach Stefanos Dedas is the leading candidate to replace Guy Goodes as the head coach of Hapoel Holon if he decides to leave.

With Goodes under the helm, Hapoel qualified for the Basketball Champions League's Final Four last season as well as became the winner of the Israeli League. The specialist's contract expires after the season. If the two sides do not agree on a new deal, Dedas is being viewed as the primary option.

It wouldn't be the first time for Dedas in Holon as he's already led the team during the 2019-21 seasons. Current EA7 Emporio Armani Milan's assistant coach Dan Shamir is also mentioned as a possible candidate.

Dedas was recently involved in an altercation with Anadolu Efes Istanbul's forward Will Clyburn. With just a single second left on the game clock in the Istanbul derby, the player charged toward Fenerbahce's bench. Head coach Ergin Ataman later revealed that Clyburn was angered by the words Dedas said during the last minute of the game.
