Virtus Segafredo Bologna are getting closer to a deal with Jalen Reynolds.
SuperBasket.it were the first to report the contact between the two sides, as BasketNews sources confirmed the information.
The 29-year-old Reynolds is coming off a second stint with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Last summer he signed a two-year contract in Israel.
The energetic big man averaged 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 7.9 PIR over 35 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this past campaign.
Reynolds, who also appeared in 12 EuroLeague games for Maccabi in the 2019-20 season, played for FC Bayern Munich before joining the Israeli powerhouse for the second time.
He blossomed into a steady force for the German team in 2020-21. While mostly coming of the bench, Reynolds averaged 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in 21 minutes of playtime.
His previous EuroLeague basketball stops included two in the 7DAYS EuroCup, helping Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia reach the 2017-18 semifinals with 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, then putting up 13.8 and 8.1, respectively, for Zenit St Petersburg the following season.
Reynolds has also played professionally for Recanati of the Italian second division, Guangzhou Long Lions in China, and Stockton Kings of the NBA's G League.
