The defending champion remained in third place in the standings, while the hosts are 16th place and their place in the LNB remains precarious.

ASVEL faced some hardships only in the first quarter, when Orleans wre leading by two (17-15), but then responded with a partial score of 23-5 to essentially shut down their opponents. 

Only a couple of days after besting his EuroLeague scoring record, Victor Wembanyama, the next big thing of French basketball, had another excellent performance, consisting of 17 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist in 19 minutes.

Youssoufa Fall added 16 points, Elie Okobo another 12, while team captain Chales Kahudi chipped in with 11 points and 8 rebounds.

For the home team, Nobel Bungou Colo and LaMonte Ulmer with 22 and 19 points respectively led the way offensively, but did not help their side avoid defeat.
