Previous reports of Virtus Segafredo Bologna's interest in signing Daniel Hackett came true.

Both sides have agreed to a multi-year contract. The news were first reported by Emiliano Carchia of Sportando. BasketNews sources have confirmed that Hackett signed a deal that runs until 2024 and is worth around 1M euros per season.

Hackett was one of the players to depart from CSKA Moscow after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

He averaged 8.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 9 PIR in 22 EuroLeague games this season.

Virtus have been looking for reinforcements on the market before the 8th March deadline for EuroCup additions. BasketNews also reported that Virtus are showing interest in Jordan Mickey.
