While a deal for CSKA Moscow point guard Daniel Hackett is getting closer, Italian side Virtus Bologna remain active on the market and want to add also another frontcourt player to their roster. As reported by George Zakkas of SDNA and confirmed to Basketnews, Jordan Mickey is among the names that Virtus Bologna are considering.

The Zenit big man is on an expiring deal, just like Hackett, so for him parting ways with the Russian team could be easier than for players who are under contract with multi-year deals.

Virtus Bologna have been looking for a 4-5 profile for a while now, especially after the difficulties shown by in-season addition JaKarr Sampson in the last few weeks.

The Italian side want to make a push for the final part of the EuroCup season and the potential addition of Daniel Hackett and Jordan Mickey would put them in an even better situation than before.

With the situation of the Russian teams increasingly uncertain for the remainder of this season, players on expiring contracts are more likely to leave those clubs.

In this season, Mickey is averaging 10.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game with Zenit.
