French point guard Frank Ntilikina is headed to the Dallas Mavericks, Marc Stein reports. The contract will likely be signed shortly. Its details are not disclosed.

The Mavericks reportedly wanted to see the 23-year-old on their roster in 2017, when they planned to select him in the NBA Draft. However, the Mavs drafted Dennis Smith Jr. instead.

Ntilikina appeared in 33 NBA games last season for the New York Knicks, averaging 2.7 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists over 9.8 minutes.

The 1.96 m guard accumulated 2.0 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 rebounds over 9.3 minutes in the Tokyo Olympic Games for France.
