According to a report from Jovan Buha of The Athletic, free agent power forward Kenneth Faried will have a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The former Denver Nuggets player has been away from the league in the past two years, spending a couple of months in China in the 2019-2020 season and remaining a free agent in the 2020-2021 season.
Faried's last NBA experience was during the 2018-2019 season when he split time between the Brooklyn Nets and the Houston Rockets. Lakers have already several others experienced veterans in their roster and Faried would fit that kind of profile.
The Lakers currently have 13 players on guaranteed contracts, both two-way spots already filled, and other two players on Exhibit 10 deals.
During his career, Faried also represented Team USA and won a gold medal in the 2014 FIBA World Cup hosted by Spain.
