Real Madrid played their first match at The 10th Costa del Sol Basketball Tournament in Malaga and went up against the hosts, Unicaja. The Royal club did not have much chance, though, and lost 75-88 (16-28, 27-19, 16-18, 16-23).

After going down by double-digits in the first quarter, Real were never able to fully recover, dropping their second straight friendly match of this pre-season.

This was the last match for Carlos Cabezas, who appeared for Unicaja and scored 3 points. The 40-year-old announced his retirement earlier this week.

Unicaja Malaga: Michael Eric 21, Jaime Fernandez 12, Norris Cole 11.

Real Madrid: Thomas Heurtel 11, Adam Hanga 11, Vincent Poirier 10.
