549 days after the last game with fans in the stands held at the Audi Dome, the EuroLeague duel with Baskonia Vítoria at the beginning of March 2020, FC Bayern Munich announced the imminent return of their supporters.

According to the rules and regulations in Bavaria, 5,750 spectators are now permitted at the home games of the German Cup winners. It's a quota nearing 90% of the arena's total capacity, subject to compliance with "3G rules" as they call them in Germany (vaccinated, recovered, tested) and to the obligation of wearing medical masks.

It should be noted that one week ago, in a survey conducted by BasketNews, FC Bayern Munich responded that in the federal state of Bavaria, a maximum of 50% capacity utilization was only permitted (which would have made for 3,250 maximum tickets available at FCBB games).

Bayern's pre-season is highlighted by the MagentaSport Cup 2021 tournament, scheduled for September 11-12. The BBL season starts on September 26, with the derby against Ulm, while the first EuroLeague home game will be held against one of the title favorites FC Barcelona on October 7. Four days earlier, Bayern will host Bamberg for the Round 16 game of the German Cup.

Tickets for the MagentaSport Cup have been available since last week, while the pre-sale of day tickets for BBL and EuroLeague games starts this Friday afternoon on the homepage of Bayern. With the approved capacity of 5,750 seats, the FCBB can in any case serve its loyal season ticket customers with the allocation of their respective seats.

In the future, the more comfortable medical surgical mask will be the standard in the federal state of Bavaria, as it eliminates social distancing rules, thus enabling a more ample utilization of the Audi Dome. In general, there are no restrictions on the choice of seats for groups or individual visitors.
