The Detroit Pistons had an opportunity to trade their first pick in this year’s NBA Draft, says Jonathan Wasserman of the Bleacher Report.

According to Wasserman, the Oklahoma City Thunder made a legitimate offer for the first pick, but the Pistons turned it down. However, Wasserman didn’t provide any more details.

Matt Babcock of basketballnews.com reported that the Thunder offered Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the 6th pick in exchange for Piston’s no. 1 pick.

Gilgeous-Alexander, 23, is one of the rising stars of the NBA. Last season, the Canadian guard averaged 23.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.
