With more than a month left until the start of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the Mexican Basketball Federation (ADEMEBA) announced the 24-man extended list of candidates for the final roster. The list is mostly comprised of players that competed in the Mexican League last year. Six candidates played either for the Capitanes team in the G-League or NCAA last season.

The 38-year-old is back in the CIBACOPA League, an eight-team competition based in Northwestern Mexico, where he began his professional career.
