Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison revealed that Anthony Davis (adductor strain) will not require surgery this summer.
Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis struggled to regain form after suffering a left adductor strain during his Mavs debut in early February.
Though Davis eventually returned to the court, it took him nearly two months to do so. Unfortunately, in his final appearance of the season, a 106-120 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament, he appeared to re-aggravate the same injury.
However, there was some encouraging news during the team’s end-of-season press conference. Mavs GM Nico Harrison revealed, via Marc Stein, that Davis will not require surgery this offseason.
In the eight games Davis played after returning from the injury, he averaged 19.3 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists, offering a glimpse of his impact when healthy.
