Thompson was asked after elimination in play-in whether he would join the Mavericks had he knew the situation like this would happen:
"Don't do that, don't do this to me, that's a ridiculous question," Thompson started.
"I'm not having a time machine and I don't believe in looking back in time, because if I did that I'd never be the man I became after those tough injuries."
"I'm here in Dallas, I'm enjoying my time and I'm looking forward to the future," Thompson concluded.
This season, Thompson averaged 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 12.3 EFF.
