Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets reportedly share mutual interest as the Phoenix Suns prepare to explore trade options for the 15-time All-Star.
There's reportedly a "level of mutual interest" between Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant and the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets in working together, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The NBA insider said to "monitor them" when referring to the Rockets.
Both Charania and ESPN's Brian Windhorst have previously reported that the Suns are expected to explore trade conversations involving the 15-time All-Star.
"This marks the first action in a summer of change coming to the Suns. Phoenix is expected to engage in trade conversations involving Durant and will have discussions on the future of [Bradley Beal]," Charania reported.
The Suns finished the season 36-46, missed the playoffs, and fired head coach Mike Budenholzer after just one year.
KD has one year left on his four-year, $194.2 million contract. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game during the 2024-25 season.
