Michael Malone got fired by the Denver Nuggets and most of the NBA world was shocked upon hearing the news.

Malone is not an exception, as he was visibly frustrated when he was informed, according to Brian Windhorst:

"It got out pretty quickly in the NBA that Michael Malone’s reaction to being fired was not calm, which is not a surprise. I don’t blame him," Windhorst said at the Hoops Collective Podcast.

Windhorst also tried to elaborate on reasoning of Kroenke family to dismiss Malone:

"I think they wanted to fire Malone, and they thought it wouldn't be possible if the Nuggets recovered and played well in the playoffs."

"They usually have patience with their coaches, that's why this is more surprising. This is a disrespect to the coach with most wins in franchise history," Windhorst concluded.
