The Cleveland Cavaliers have secured the number one seed in the Eastern Conference, but with the regular season nearly over, they're focusing on rest. In their game against the Indiana Pacers, the Cavs will be without four of their five core starters.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially secured the top spot in the Eastern Conference, locking in the number one seed for the upcoming playoffs with time to spare.
With the regular season essentially wrapped up Cavs will let their stars rest for the next game against the Indiana Pacers on April 11th.
Cleveland will take the floor without four of their five core starters. Donovan Mitchell (ankle), Darius Garland (toe), Max Strus (knee), and Evan Mobley (rest) have all been ruled out.
Even Jarrett Allen won’t be playing his usual minutes, as he's expected to be on a minute restriction for this game.
The game will be nationally televised on TNT, which raises eyebrows given the NBA’s Player Participation Policy.
