After starting the season with the first team of the Serbian powerhouse, Dimitrijevic later moved on loan to Metalac from Valjevo after playing a few matches in the Radivoje Korac Cup.
Starting next season, the 18-year-old will be playing for Creighton College, known for often producing talent that later makes it to the NBA - including Trey Alexander, who currently plays for the Denver Nuggets, and Baylor Scheierman, a member of the Boston Celtics. According to Telesport, coach Greg McDermott brought Dimitrijevic to the team.
Next season, Dimitrijevic could gain valuable experience and show his full potential, which will likely open the door to future professional careers, perhaps even in the NBA.
The Serbian big man has played on his country's U18/U19 National Teams, helping the U18 squad to the silver medal last summer at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket competition. He averaged 10.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in that event. He also had 19 blocks and seven steals in seven games, which included six victories.
He played in Euroleague ANGT (March 2024) and averaged 14.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per game.
