The 33-year-old hasn't played since January 25, when he broke his right foot in a game against the Celtics, but there's some optimism in his progress.

Kleber has progressed to on-court activities after undergoing right foot surgery on Jan. 30, according to Lakers Nation. Updates will be provided as appropriate.

The Lakers are desperate for more bodies in the frontcourt. As of now, the only true big man in the rotation is Jaxson Hayes, so Kleber could have an opportunity to play in specific matchups with his ability to stretch the floor and play solid defense.

The Lakers are currently third in the West with a 47–30 record but will face a quite difficult schedule to finish the regular season, as they'll now face the Oklahoma City Thunder twice in a row—games that could be major in determining their seeding for the playoffs.
