JJ Redick, the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, has expressed his long-term commitment to the team, stating he would love to coach the Lakers for the next 15 to 20 years.
Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has made it clear—he’s here to stay.
The first-year coach, who took over earlier this season, expressed his desire to lead the Lakers for the long haul, potentially for the next 15 to 20 years.
"I’m not moving again. I’m not moving my kids again," Redick told the Los Angeles Times. "We’re in it for the long haul. I would love to be the Lakers' coach for the next 15 to 20 years. If I’m not the Lakers coach, I’m in it for the long haul in L.A."
Redick’s commitment comes as the Lakers sit fourth in the Western Conference with a strong 45-29 record, firmly in the playoff race.
The Lakers' next game is against the 2nd seat Houston Rockets, who have a record of 49-26. They will play on April 1st.
