Head coach Darko Rajakovic is dedicated to learning alongside his team and constantly exploring strategies for improvement. One key approach he's implementing is cultivating the mentality of top-level athletes.

In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Rajakovic shared that he is inspired by the mindset of one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Novak Djokovic, and is working to instill that mentality in his team.

"Mentality should be the defining factor that separates the best athletes, regardless of sport. At this level, everyone has the physical attributes, but what truly makes a difference is the mindset,” Rajakovic said.

"Novak Djokovic is arguably one of the best in history when it comes to mentality. His ability to handle the highs and lows, whether the crowd loves or dislikes him, is remarkable," he noted.

Rajakovic revealed that he's been studying Djokovic's interviews and sharing them with his players to help them understand the mentality of a champion.

"I’ve been listening to many of his interviews and even played some for the team, hoping they can grasp the champion's mindset. There’s a lot to learn from him," Rajakovic reveaaled.

Currently, the Raptors are sitting at 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 24-46 record, as they continue their journey toward rebuilding and future success.
