Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas revealed that he wants to remain in Brooklyn, believes he's one of the best guards in the NBA.
One of the NBA's highest-scoring guards, Cam Thomas is set to enter restricted free agency after completing four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets this offseason.
The 23-year-old shared his perspective on the upcoming free agency while speaking with the media, expressing his desire to remain in Brooklyn.
"It’s a business, but at the end of the day, I would love to be back and get that straightened out," Thomas said, via NBA insider Michael Scotto.
"I want to keep playing in front of the fans and continue building the relationships I've established here because I was drafted by this team," he added.
Thomas believes he's among the league’s top guards when given the right opportunities.
"When I get significant minutes, I feel like I’ve been one of the best guards in the league at my position," Thomas stated. "When I’m in a featured role with the minutes to match, the sky’s the limit for me, and we've seen that these past two years."
The Nets guard will miss the rest of the season due to a left hamstring strain. However, before the injury, he was showcasing his talent on the court, averaging 24.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.
