Domantas Sabonis, who recorded a triple-double with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists, appeared to have aggravated the hamstring injury that sidelined him for the previous six games, via the Sacramento Bee.

In the middle of the fourth quarter, Sabonis grabbed his left hamstring and seemed to be in discomfort. Despite trying to play through it for a while, he eventually sat out during a timeout and did not return to the game.

Kings coach Doug Christie revealed that Sabonis wanted to continue playing but emphasized that they weren’t willing to take any chances with his health.

"I think he wanted to continue to play," Christie said. "But there’s no conversation. Sit down. When I see you do that, I’m not even playing around with that one. You are way too important to us."

At this point, the Kings have not provided an official update on the injury, but coach Christie is optimistic, suggesting the injury likely isn't serious.

"Hopefully it was nothing, and I don’t think it was," he added.

Sabonis had missed the previous six games with the hamstring issue, and the Kings will undoubtedly prioritize his health as they push toward the postseason. On the season, Sabonis is averaging 19.4 points, 14.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists, establishing himself as one of the most dominant big men in the league.
