"The content published by various media organizations on social media platforms regarding changes to the A Team's coaching staff does not reflect the truth," the announcement reads. "We have full confidence that our team will achieve its goals for the rest of the season under the leadership of our head coach, Mr. Luca Banchi."

Banchi took over as head coach of Anadolu Efes at the beginning of 2025, following his resignation from Virtus Bologna in early December, where he had a challenging start with a 2-11 record in the first 13 EuroLeague games.

His current contract runs through the end of the 2024-25 season, with an option for a one-year extension until 2026.

Since January 7, Anadolu Efes have recorded a 4-5 record in the EuroLeague.

They will face FC Bayern Munich on the road this Friday in Round 29. Currently, Efes are 11th in the standings with a 14-14 record.
