The former NBA star took to social media, expressing his thoughts on the situation while reflecting on his own past experiences in similar circumstances.
Cousins posted on X, saying, "It’s cool when they do it, it’s a problem when I do it…" He continued, drawing attention to how he was treated when he confronted a reporter about comments made about his family.
"I was called a villain, bully, thug when I confronted a reporter for speaking on my family. Got suspended, fined, and eventually traded. I look forward to getting my lick back!"
This post came after Stephen A. Smith shared his version of the encounter with LeBron.
During a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks, LeBron approached Smith courtside during a timeout in the third quarter.
LeBron expressed his frustration over Smith’s comments regarding his son, Bronny James. LeBron, visibly upset, told Smith, "Stop effing with my son. That’s my effing son. Stop effing with my son."
