Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who's eligible for a super-max extension with Oklahoma next summer, has parted ways with his agent, Thad Foucher.
Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is serving as his own agent after parting ways with Thad Foucher of Wasserman, NBA insider Chris Haynes and ESPN reported.
A big payday could be on the horizon for Gilgeous-Alexander, who is eligible for a super-max extension with the Thunder in the offseason.
According to Toronto Raptors and NBA journalist Michael Grange, the Canadian will extend his contract with the Oklahoma club this summer and earn a maximum of $291 million over four seasons. In that case, his average salary will reach 72.75 million per year from his contract with the team alone.
Gilgeous-Alexander, 26, is in the thick of the MVP conversation this season and leads the league in points per game (32.5). He is also averaging 5.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.9 steals.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who finished second in MVP voting last season, has guided the Thunder to the best record in the Western Conference at the All-Star break, 44-10.
