For the first time in history, the 2025 NBA All-Star Game was played in a four-team mini-tournament format. Four 8-man rosters competed for the championship, with Team Shaq emerging victorious. The team was led by MVP Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Boston’s duo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

After the game, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his thoughts on the ideal All-Star Game format. He expressed his belief that a World vs. USA matchup would create the most competitive and exciting game.
"I would love that. I think that would be the most interesting and exciting format," Antetokounmpo said. "For sure, I’ll take pride in that. I always compete, but I think that would give me a little extra juice."
He further emphasized his support for the idea, saying the added stakes would make the game even more intense.
"I think that would be the best format," he added. "It would be fun."
