Thompson dunked the basketball with four seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, after which the Raptors squad and coach Darko Rajakovic were really upset.
As fans booed, Raptors players Scottie Barnes and Jamal Shead confronted Thompson after the final buzzer, while Rajakovic expressed his disappointment in the press conference.
"I think what Tristan did there was no class and disrespectful," Rajakovic said. "I’m not going to stand for that, for sure. I love when my team stands up for themselves. That was no class."
Tristan Thompson reacted to this comment by the coach on social media, saying it was disrespectful from their side to press them when they were up by 30 with a minute remaining to play.
"You wanna full court press with under a minute left in the game when you get cracked by 30 this will happen to you," Thompson said. "Lose for draft lottery and be happy buddy boy. Hopefully you and most of your guys see the light at the end of Bobby and Masai long term plan. Bless up stay warm in MY CITY."
