Laso made a cryptic joke about French official Mehdi Difallah, who served as the crew chief for the EuroLeague Round 22 game against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens on Friday night.

"Yes, Difallah is officiating tomorrow," Laso said with a smile. "A Greek friend told me, 'How could he not be refereeing a Panathinaikos game? He's officiated a lot of their games.' I haven't checked how many times, but I will take a look."

Meanwhile, Chimezie Metu of FC Barcelona has been sanctioned with a fine of €4,000 for the lack of respect towards the members of the officiating crew during the game between FC Barcelona and Olympiacos Piraeus, under Article 27.2.b) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
