The Washington Wizards center Jonas Valanciunas is getting traded to the Sacramento Kings, Shams Charania reports.
According to Charania, the Wizards traded Valanciunas for Sidy Cissoko and two 2nd round picks.
Valanciunas will get the opportunity to team up with his Lithuania national team teammate Domantas Sabonis and play for the organization that has way bigger goals compared to Washington.
"It's very hard to lose. It hurts a lot," Valanciunas said about losing to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews on January 11. "You want to avoid it feeling like nothing, no pain. You don't want losing to turn into a habit."
"When you play and lose, you think, 'Okay, let's go to the next game.' I don't want that. I want it to hurt. For it to be a motivation," he added. "It's a tough season. Very tough."
This season, Valanciunas averages 11.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in 49 appearances.
Meanwhile, Cissoko appeared in 17 games so far, averaging 1.3 points and 0.6 rebounds.
