"Two league sources said the Wizards and Bucks have explored a potential deal in which Milwaukee would send Khris Middleton and draft capital to Washington for Kuzma," the insiders reported.

Both players have been frequent names in trade discussions ahead of the February 6 deadline.

Earlier, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported that the Bucks have made Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Pat Connaughton -- three key players from their 2021 championship run -- available in trade talks.

Milwaukee is looking to improve the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, as Middleton has struggled to regain form following multiple ankle surgeries and ongoing tendinitis issues.

Middleton has played 23 games this season, averaging 12.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. His name has also surfaced in trade rumors involving Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.

On the other hand, Kuzma is one of several Wizards players on the trade block, along with Jonas Valanciunas and Malcolm Brogdon.

The 29-year-old forward has averaged 15.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season.

He reportedly drew interest from the Los Angeles Lakers, though they recently pulled off a blockbuster deal to acquire Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks.
