Kevin Durant and several more All-Star players appear to be on the Warriors' radar before the trade deadline expires.
According to Clutch Points' Brett Siegel, the Golden State Warriors made a call to the Phoenix front office, asking about a potential Kevin Durant trade.
"Lots to unpack with the Warriors, who attempted to make some big swings over the last 72 hours," Siegel said.
"Not only did they call the Suns last week about Kevin Durant, but they also held deep talks with the Bulls about LaVine and Nikola Vucevic."
As Marc Stein reported, the Warriors did not move forward with their own conversations regarding the two players, as they continued to deliberate over the pursuit for Jimmy Butler and exploring the possibility of reuniting Kevin Durant with Stephen Curry.
"The Warriors are legitimately calling about every All-Star player," ESPN's Shams Charania reported.
"And that includes players like Paul George, LeBron James, Kevin Durant or Jimmy Butler. They're dead-set on trying to find another superstar player with Steph Curry."
“Phoenix, entering Monday's business, continued to signal that it does not plan to move Durant before the deadline," Jake Fischer reported.
"The Suns are believed to be listening at the very least to various teams' pitches for the 35-year-old scoring legend. Durant, meanwhile, is said to be aware of all this.”
Fischer also added that the team is being ambitious and aiming to add LeBron James and Durant.
“Sources say the most ambitious idea being tossed around among Golden State's decision-makers: Is there any feasible pathway for the Warriors to pull off the dreamiest of outcomes and find a way to bring both James and Durant to The Bay?" Fischer writes.
