Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart was suspended for one game for accessing his sixth Flagrant Foul point and fined $50,000 by the NBA for making inappropriate and objectionable gestures following an ejection.
Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart was suspended and fined by the NBA after Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers, which the Pistons lost 119-133.
Stewart will miss one game without pay for accruing his sixth Flagrant Foul point of the 2024-25 NBA regular season, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.
Stewart, who entered the Pacers game with four Flagrant Foul points, received a Flagrant Foul 2 and was ejected from the game with 8:45 remaining in the second quarter. The rules state that a player who receives a Flagrant Foul 2, already having 4 Flagrant Foul points will receive an automatic one-game suspension.
In addition, Stewart has been fined $50,000 for making inappropriate and objectionable gestures following his ejection.
Stewart is averaging 5.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, and so far has helped the Pistons to reach a solid 23-24 record, good for eighth in the East.
