The Toronto Raptors are highly motivated to trade Bruce Brown and his $23 million salary as they aim to optimize their return from the Pascal Siakam deal.
The Toronto Raptors are eager to trade shooting guard Bruce Brown, who could become a buyout candidate if no trade occurs, according to Jake Fischer.
"The Raptors are very motivated to move Brown and his $23 million salary in hopes of growing the return from trading Pascal Siakam to Indiana on Jan. 17, 2024. ... If no trade materializes involving Brown, he would surely be in great demand as a buyout candidate."
Last summer, Toronto picked up Brown's $23 million option.
He joined the Raptors in January as part of the trade that sent Siakam to the Pacers. During his nine games with Toronto this season, Brown has averaged 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds.
After winning a championship with the Denver Nuggets in 2023, Brown signed a two-year, $45 million contract with Indiana in the offseason.
