Real Madrid and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv made history on Tuesday night by setting a new EuroLeague record for the highest combined score in a regulation game.

The two teams totaled 229 points, with Real defeating Maccabi 116-113 at home.

This shattered the previous record of 224 points, set during the 2003-04 season in a game between Skipper Fortitudo Bologna and Zalgiris Kaunas.

The EuroLeague Round 21 game also set two additional records: the highest combined score at halftime (120 points) and the highest score after three quarters (181 points).
