Thomas Heurtel revealed that he rejected offers from EuroLeague teams to sign with ACB League squad Leyma Coruna.
After successfully passing his medical examination, French point guard Thomas Heurtel has officially joined ACB League team Leyma Coruna.
During his presentation, Heurtel expressed his desire to return to Spain, where he previously played for Baskonia, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, revealing that he turned down several EuroLeague offers to make this move.
"I am happy to be here. I rejected EuroLeague teams such as Maccabi because the situation there is not very pleasant," he stated. "Other ACB or European teams made offers, but we chose this one, and I would like to publicly thank the club and everyone who helped bring me here."
Heurtel's contract with Leyma Coruna includes an exit clause for the EuroLeague.
Just a short while ago, there were expectations for Heurtel to return to Barca; however, the Catalan club pulled out of negotiations due to dissatisfaction among their fans.
