Crvena Zvezda's Head Coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos has signed a new contract with Serbian powerhouse. Contract will be valid until 2027. Meridian Sport was the first to report on this.
Greek Head Coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos has signed an extension deal with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade this afternoon.
Meridian Sport was the first to report this on their website.
Contract will be valid until 2027, marking this the longest stint for a Zvezda coach since Dejan Radonjic's second appearance in the club from 2020-2022.
Sfairopoulos is only the second coach not to be born in any of former Yugoslav republics to ever lead Zvezda, after Tom Ludwig in 1998.
In his first full season after taking over in 2023-24 campaign from Dusko Ivanovic, Sfairopoulos is leading Zvezda to its best run of games in the EuroLeague since 2017, as Zvezda are 6th in the standings with 11-8 score and a tough schedule behind them.
