Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz officially confirmed the signing of Luka Samanic. However, the Spanish club didn't disclose any details of the agreement.

BasketNews reported about the advanced negotiations between Samanic and Baskonia on December 27.
The 24-year-old began the season with Fenerbahce but mutually parted ways in September to address personal matters.
He later signed an open contract with Cibona Zagreb. In his ABA League debut against Crvena Zvezda, Samanic posted 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in a 78-88 loss.
Over three appearances for Cibona, the 2.08m-tall player averaged 9.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 22 minutes per game.
Samanic also represented Croatia in EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, averaging 5.5 points in two games against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Last season, Samanic played in the NBA with the Utah Jazz, averaging 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds over 43 games.
Drafted 19th overall in 2019, Samanic has also played for the San Antonio Spurs.
