The Greens reacted instantly by bringing in Wenyen Gabriel, who posted 6 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in his debut with the reigning EuroLeague champs in Munich.

A few days ago, PAO's owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos, while announcing Gabriel's signing, he also hinted at the fact that the club had agreed to extend two players' contracts. It seems that Lessort is one of them.

According to SDNA, the French center's deal which expires next summer, will be extended until 2028, as the two sides have been in discussions for months. Per the same report, the 29-year-old big man has accepted the offer, which is expected to reach 7 million euros, and the official announcement is expected in the next days.

The same is likely to happen with Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, who recently extended his contract for for 3 (2+1) more seasons with the Greek side.

Lessort is recording 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and one steal for an average PIR of 20.5 per EuroLeague outing.

Before Panathinaikos, the two-time All-EuroLeague First Team selection played for Partizan, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Monaco, Bayern Munich, Malaga, Red Star, Nanterre and Chalon.
