Andrea Trinchieri talked about Arvydas Sabonis 60th birthday in a pre-game conference before the game against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.
Trinchieri showed his admiration for Sabonis, explaining what he believes should happen in Lithuania to honor Sabonis.
"I used Tutis [Tautvydas Sabonis, Trinchieri's assistant and Arvydas son] for that. I believe that Sabas is... Today should be a national day in Lithuania. I believe no school, nobody should go to work, just party," Trinchieri concluded.
Sabonis was one of the most dominant European players in history, and with that, his NBA career was also great.
In his NBA career, he averaged 12.0 points and 7.3 rebounds while playing for the Portland Trail Blazers.
