ALBA Berlin officially announced that the 25-year-old big man is joining the organization on a one-year deal until the end of the 2024-25 season.
McCormack has already passed his physical and practiced with the team on Monday. He will replace Khalifa Koumadje, who was suspended by the club and ultimately left the German organization.
In addition, ALBA are currently suffering from a severe injury bug, with one of the affected playing being power forward Justin Bean, who's fourth on the team in PIR in the EuroLeague.
McCormack played in just six out of Milan's 11 EuroLeague games this season, averaging 1 point and 0.7 rebounds per game.
"We had a great need to sign a player for the center position. At this point in the season, however, it is not easy to find sustainable reinforcement as the market is no longer that big. We are all the happier that we were able to sign David McCormack, a player we have been watching since he took his first steps as a professional in Turkiye," said Himar Ojeda, ALBA's sports director.
McCormack is likely to debut for ALBA in Round 12 against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on November 28th.
