Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George has a bone bruise in left knee, the team announced Thursday.
The 76ers noted that George will miss the upcoming games against the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers and will be re-evaluated on Monday.
George hurt the knee early in the second half of Wednesday night's 117-111 road loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and did not return.
It was the same knee that George hyperextended in the preseason, forcing him to miss the first five games of the regular season.
This season, George averages 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game in 8 appearances for the 76ers.
