Alex Caruso's future with the Oklahoma City Thunder might be decided soon, as he's eligible for a contract extension starting December 21 -- exactly six months after OKC traded for him from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Josh Giddey.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, this extension is likely the only major move Oklahoma plans to make for now.
"I don't expect there to be much more in OKC for the time being right now aside from this impending Alex Caruso extension that the league is definitely still expecting and bracing for coming out of the Thunder," Fischer noted.
If Caruso signs, the deal could be worth up to $80 million over four years. However, if the two sides can't reach an agreement, he'll hit free agency in 2025, opening the door for other teams to make a run at him.
So far this season, the 30-year-old guard is averaging 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
