NBA commissioner Adam Silver recently shared his pick for the greatest player of all time -- and it wasn't the current face of the NBA.

"Michael Jordan, and don't tell LeBron I said that," Silver said with a smile.

The debate over the greatest of all time (GOAT) has sparked passionate discussions among fans worldwide. Many argue that with his six championships and five MVP awards with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, Jordan should be crowned basketball's undisputed king. Silver seems to agree with that view.

However, others believe Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, now in his 22nd season at 39 years old, deserves the title. LeBron's four championships, four MVPs, all-time scoring record, and incredible longevity make a compelling case for his place in the GOAT conversation.
