Even though his PIR, scoring, rebounds, and assist records have come in away games against Monaco, Filip Petrusev said he doesn't like to play in Salle Gaston Medecin.

Filip Petrusev had the game of his career against AS Monaco on Tuesday. Despite the fact, he doesn't like to play in the Salle Gaston Medecin, the home of the Roca Team.

Petrusev scored 25 points (career-high), grabbed 7 rebounds, drew 11 fouls, and made all 11 of his free throws (career-high) for a whopping 38 PIR, also a career-high.

Interestingly, his PIR, points, rebounds, and assist records all came in away games against Monaco in 2022 and now in 2024. However, this was Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade's win in Monaco.

"I really don't like to play in this hall, in this gymnasium. It's no wonder we hadn't beaten them," Petrusev told Blazo Komnenic from Meridian Sport after the game.

"I really didn't look at the stats. I'm overjoyed that we won because Monaco is one of the best teams in the EuroLeague this season, considering the kind of players and talent they have," he said about his record night.

At the same time, Monaco's head coach, Sasa Obradovic, who was once a member of Crvena Zvezda both as a player and a coach, called this game shameful and wondered how the team was going to continue.

"This is really, really, really shameful for me as a coach. And I don't really know who we're going to go with this. I really don't know how we're going to go with this," he said in the post-game press conference.
